About Björn, Born and living in the countryside north of Halmstad, a town in the southwestern part of Sweden. My own "dogcareer" started rather late but we have always been hunting in the family and for hunting you need good dogs. For example, my grandma's grandpa was the first to import English setter to Sweden. My own first hunting dogs were retrievers, but later on when the interest developed I started looking for pointing dogs. I bought my first one, a Gordon Setter, because they were nice looking. They still are but to find really good material to bread on and making it easy on yourself, nowadays it is Pointers and Setters that are my favourites. The moment I am writing this, there are 2 Pointers & 4 English setters, all females, and I have just been to Italy mating one of the Pointers. The dogbreaders from southern Europe fascinate me because they have developed a passion about pointing dogs. I am also judging trials. |
